Development Pitch
The DaVinci Code meets Indiana Jones in THE ROSETTA COIN with an archaeological secret that will change humanity’s view on religion and the cosmos. Written for the big screen, I wanted to address a question even larger than 'did Mary and Jesus have children', that being: Are we alone? Rosetta challenges with high concept/universal questions; supplies treasure-hunt adventure with drones and tracking chips; creates suspense with a villainous predator, and a beautiful woman in search of the truth; and reveals the depth of human value in the pursuit of redemption through self-sacrifice—even in the worst of us. In the end, a new adventure opens with the revelation that humans are the ET and the discovery of plans for a predetermined destiny left for humanity by a master race. I believe audiences want more from their big screen heroes than a shiny cape. I believe the desire to be the hero is inherent in all humans--we want to be the hero, not just watch a story about super heroes that we can never imitate. Rosetta is the first step in a story that portrays the next evolution in human destiny, one that makes us all a hero.
