Development Pitch

This story is filled with hope, compassion, magic passed on from an extinct African tribe, bad deceitful people, time travel, animal protectors and an array of rich characters. The main characters are fresh and they encompass a new vision of what it takes to fix a family and to save the world. It is also about a family trying to heal itself from a tragic death and a stranger who crosses paths with them who is connected by blood and magic. I believe this book would be best made into a 2 to 2.5 hour movie. There is the possibility of additional books and movies based on the ending of this novel. Audiences ages 8 to 90 would find something they like. Kids would find a new hero in a little African American girl who has powers like no other hero out there right now.
