Short Summary

Every month at the full moon people who have been infected with the Tainted become werewolves for one night--in what they call the Hunting. Dubium is the northern most city, and is under pressure from the Capital to stop their advancement south. The punishment for being Tainted is death.

The Governor's son, Brody, is executed for being Tainted. His best friend Ian, and two other friends who have lost loved ones, including Brody's girlfriend, flee the city. In an act of compassion and empathy, all three become Tainted to fight the real monster--humans.
