The US and many countries while in the midst of a pandemic where working together to get people vaccinated is top priority, the underlying suspiciousness, economic dependence, warrior cultures where military is receiving more funding than educating people, demands we look for conflict resolution ways of preserving mankind, both in life and for historical heritage. Melamed's film shows parallels with early civil rights activists and historical figures Gandhi, Dr. MLK.Jr as we live through violence rather than nonviolence with figures such as : The January 6 insurrection cannot be undone or covered up by the Republicans. It happened and it signaled the end of possibilities for peaceful bipartisan communication. A road forward is found by looking at the weaknesses during Jim Crow error to a present rebirth of hostility toward the unknown individuals. Leaders of most countries are losing power. The people power is stimulated in the following episodes: Hangings; Dow Chemical protests with Vietnam war, Kent State uprising killing 4 students and and the 9/11 disaster. Now military combatants have died in high numbers and killings, include children. Current disputes around Native Hawaiians protests against the 30 meter telescope on their spiritual mountain and the Black Lives Matter protests along with immigration bans leading to an Embrace of Positivism and forgiveness allow us to come together in hopes for a future when conflict resolution becomes a means to resolve conflict.

Accuracy of Book Profile
The logline does a good job describing the narrative's goals. The short summary includes details from the story, but could be clearer by inserting the protagonist as the active subject rather than a passive insinuation. The development pitch discusses the same issues reflected in the story but introducing them as a cohesive whole with context would help make the pitch more easy to follow. It may also be beneficial to switch the character detail of Barbara as the protagonist to further clarify the focus of the story and fix the type of the name being "Barbarian."
Draw of Story
The story is very worldly with far ranging examples to appeal to a very very broad audience that touches as a large scope of issues in history and matches them to issues from today. The story then uses history to suggest proven solutions for peace that could work for today's problems.
It is hard to follow the connections between the cultures, moments and personal narrative. For example there is a section on the same page where the author discusses their own help organizing sit ins during college before mentioning she went to India right after and then talking about Ruth Bader Ginsburg right after discussing Gandhi. Ginsburg and Gandhi were both revered leaders that inspired activism but their platform issues were very separate. By providing more context the connections will be easier to map.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The hook is that history is being used to provide solutions to the present world issues and inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic. Showing the parallels ad providing solutions adds an extra layer to the normal trauma of the news and inspires hope.
This has a large scope of issues cultures and time periods so has potential to appeal to almost everyone if the structure and emotional investment are more cohesive to make it easier to follow for the common audience member.
Depending on the genre as either scripted or documentary this could have some potential. However with so many issues it may be too broad to go in depth enough to capture votes.

What’s New About the Story
The originality of the story stems from the author's vast experiences with social justice. By focusing more on her directly and the input from her wisdom rather than a multitude of outside examples and quotes, there will be greater emotional investment and a clearer transformation.
Barbara is determined, organized, and inspired. She is selfless and brave as well as hearty and sustainable having been trying to create change for so long.
Uniqueness of Story
This has a lot going for it in terms of heart and inspiration, but a cohesive theme and discernment of a main conflict would benefit from further refinement.
WORK IN PROGRESS
While the story has many positive points, it has room for improvement (see possible paths below). If you can't change the story at this point, my suggestion is using your notes as a guide to highlight the best aspects of it when taking the next steps, either putting a pitch page together, a treatment, or a presentation.
Tips for Improvement
Streamlining the issues to fewer more in depth analysis and making sure the peace theme is the focus as opposed to the issues may help showcase the intent more closely and make the narrative easier to follow. Focusing on the protagonist and their wisdom would also help create cohesion and increase the emotional investment of the project.
