Accuracy of Book Profile

The book profile does contain certain aspects of the narrative although it does not fully mirror the story. The themes focused on in the logline is only the focus in the last part of the book. By having a logline that incorporates the book as a whole it will better reflect the story like the short summary is able to do in outlining the actual format of the story.

Draw of Story

There is a lot of historical conflicts that are experienced by the protagonist that are not something the average person would have been brave enough to survive and or remain as hopeful after the fact. Figuring out of the inner peace came to be despite such tragedy is an interesting path to follow.

Possible Drawbacks

The structure of so many different events can make the thematic link and emotional attachment hard to follow as the overloading trauma can have the potential to detach the audience.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

The hook is that there is always a way to create peace that does not result in violence. The protagonist's wisdom comes from years of conflict experience and examples of different countries.

Fanbase Potential

This is unlikely to have a large fanbase unless the large scope of the structure becomes easier to follow and the hopeful themes more consistent in the first and second act. The message can become confusing as is with such a large scope.

Awards Potential

This is unlikely to have awards potential unless the theme is more consistent, focused and clarified. It might do well as a documentary rather than as fiction.

Envisioned Budget

LARGE BUDGET

What’s New About the Story

The originality stems from the conflicts that the protagonist experienced. It might be better to separate the conflicts and focus on the specific lessons of each so as to create more emotional attachment and make the narrative theme easier to follow.

Lead Characters

Barbarian is an activist with a peaceful aura, limitless pools of inner strength and an admiral perseverance. Pete is practical but hopeful as is Stephen. Kamala is inspiring but hesitant due the pressures she faces.

Uniqueness of Story

This is definitely a unique theme but the structure makes the pacing hard to follow and the emotional investment in the characters is underdeveloped due to the large scope of the plot.

Possible Formats

Unscripted

Analyst Recommendation

WORK IN PROGRESS

Justification

While the story has many positive points, it has room for improvement (see possible paths below). If you can't change the story at this point, my suggestion is using your notes as a guide to highlight the best aspects of it when taking the next steps, either putting a pitch page together, a treatment, or a presentation.

Tips for Improvement

Perhaps narrowing the scope of the conflicts will help introduce the resolution themes earlier and more consistently to be able to follow more easily. A simpler structure could also allow more character development to create greater emotional investment in the narrative.
