Development Pitch
The Vampire wants a Wife (and if wanted, the rest of the series) would sit alongside TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lucifer, and seeing as those series have or are ending, there's room for a new supernatural or two in town! The setting of Withernsea, a small seaside town, gives a unique setting for the backdrop of the dating agency and the fact that supernaturals have been living amongst the humans undiscovered for years. There is a cast of characters: the dating agency owner and her best friend Kim; Theo the vampire; a seer; a coffee shop owner, another vampire/Satan, and a werewolf, amongst others. The characters individual personalities are revealed as the story progresses and they bounce off one another. The humour lends itself to a TV comedy series or a movie, blending with the overall themes of love and romance while providing the watcher with plenty of laughs as they encourage Theo and Shelley to get together and vanquish Satan, who doesn’t like love making everyone happy. A reader of the series said they never thought they'd actually find sympathy for Satan and voted him most endearing villain in a poll. So many readers have said they can picture this as a series so I figured I'd pitch it and see. Many thanks for your consideration. Andie.
