This is the story of Prince Juan becoming a king but before becoming one, he must first look for the Princess of his heart's desire, otherwise the Prince will marry a Princess chosen by the king. On Prince Juan's journey, he meets Princess Maria from a magical kingdom and her entire family possess magic. But before he can marry the Princess, he must first pass the three tests from king Solomon. Will Prince Juan pass the three tests knowing that he has no magic of his own? Possible Drawbacks
Some situations seem disconnected like "King Solomon does not keep his promise even as the prince fulfills his. As much as Solomon is the villain and betrayal is expected by his character, the prince's three tasks end up sounding unnecessary in the end.

What’s New About the Story
The three tasks that the prince needs to go through to be able to marry his beloved one are somewhat original, however as the girl's father does not allow marriage even after the prince completes all the tasks, these same tasks lose their impact.
Lead Characters
All characters could be developed further. We don't know anything about the young woman the prince falls in love with. She just starts helping the prince with his tasks, but we don't know anything about her beyond that. Mary's sisters are not clear characters either. We don't know what they are like, if they're jealous of Maria, if they'd like to marry the prince, we only see them denouncing Maria to her father, but we don't understand why. King Solomon is not explained either. We find out about a spell that has fallen on his realm, but we don't see beyond his evils. Even when it comes to children's stories, the characters could be better presented so we could understand the reason for their actions.
Uniqueness of Story
It's not a rare gem. We've already seen similar stories that had similar themes and actions. The author could try to make this story more cohesive and original, especially concerning the three tasks.

Tips for Improvement
This story needs to take into consideration the horrors that were faced at the time by enslaved Black people. Will's reactions to the events in life would make his character more complex. He is very two dimensional at the moment. There isn't time spent on character development with most of the book dedicated to the traumatic events and experiences he faces. While it is important to show how far Will comes by the end of the book, exploring how the events affect him and how it changes him would give more depth to the story and the character.
